Grape Wine Bottle Night Light

Playing With My Marbles



 Things You Need

  • Wine Bottle
  • Marbles
  • Craft Christmas Lights, green wire, 20-35 lights
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Raffia
  • Silk Grape Leaves, with curly stems
  • Glass & Tile Drill Bit, I used 5/8" Glass & Tile Drill Quad Tip
  • Drill
  • Fine Grit Sandpaper, I used 220
  • Safety Glasses & Leather Gloves


Process

  • When cutting the foil top off, do it evenly and without tearing it, save it.
  • Uncork and drink the wine, then rinse bottle out.
  • Drill hole in back of bottle.I used 5/8" glass & tile quad tip drill bit, WD40, safety goggles, and leather gloves.
  • Sand the edges of the drilled hole, clean, rinse and let bottle dry.
  • Feed lights thru hole and thru top of bottle, then start adjusting the lights evenly. Turn them on to make sure it looks good.
  • Glue marbles on bottle.
  • Glue grape leaves and curly stems on bottle. Just put glue on the end and place  the stem in between marbles, hold until dry.
  • Poke hole in top of wine cork, stick curly stem in, can dap glue in hole.
  • Glue other end of cork curly stem to bottle where raffia will be. 
  • Wrap raffia around bottle neck, and tie raffia off and place a dap of glue on knot.
  • Dap a little glue on bottle top and replace foil top.
  • Personalize the back label
